On craigslist in Omaha, a guy is trying to trade a coke machine for a pinball. I have a Bally Zip-a-Doo in working condition that I was thinking of trading for. Would this be a good deal? I am going to put it in the basement and have no idea how heavy it is or anything else about it

vendo 63

vendo 63 it's heavy but as far as coke machines it doesn't get to much lighter. I buy these in so cal for 150.00 or less, so depends what the value of your machine is. Its by no means a highly sought after model but nothing square top is. They are fun I have a few of them. They make a can model as well as a bottle model and the bottle model takes about any size bottle. This is a 60"s machine and the 63 indicates its capacity. hope this helps let me know if you want any other info or parts.

It looks and sounds like a fun machine, but the idea of hauling a 400lb machine down into the basement does not sound like fun. He has not contacted me after asking for pictures and me providing them. He put a value on his machine at $775, which seems high by your estimation. I have a Bally Zip-a-Doo in working order that fits real well into the basement decor and the girlfriend is not real fond of me hauling it into the basement. So I think I will pass on the "deal". Thanks for your information anyway.

That machine is about 300lbs.. not too bad. I can be stripped down a bit further to bring down into the basement pretty easily. If it cools and is in good shape, its worth paying in the $350 range. If you are buying to flip, then obviously less.

He has not responded back to me or never received my response. He must have thought that it was the machine that came from the Peony Park auction which was a long closed local amusement park in Omaha. When I told him that it was not that machine, I have not heard back from him. I would think that this trade was somewhat equal, but he values his machine more than mine.
