One of the cabs I picked up this last weekend. Read more here

I'd like to know what it was originally. so please help me.

My plans are to quickly get this going with a jamma 60-1 so I have something to play while I build my collection. This may take some time since I have another project in the works. But I'll be putting equal amounts of time into both.

You can see the outline of the "Taito" type under the paint.

The serial most likely won't tell ya much.

Are there ANY sort of paper tags inside the cabinet ?

It does look like a Double Dragon cabinet, but the "TA" on the sideart is kinda throwing me off a bit. (looks as if it's been painted over obviously)
I also thnk they used that style cabinet for a few games.

This is the cab you have:

Yes sir. After a few days of research I agree, the cab I have is for sure the Taito GTC 100 universal cab (which was used for double dragon). Anyone know what other games were in these cabs?

My cab was just painted over. The original lighter grey color and tatio design are still there. I was a little thrown off at first because my cab didn't have the bottom sliding door for the pcb. But after cleaning the cab out I realized when they converted to the ms pac/galaga setup they took the drawer and just drilled it to the inside of the cab using it as a mount for the pcb! Crazy.

Anyway I've got a lot of the supplies I need to get this project going and hope to have more updates/images soon!

I came across two of these cabs with Cadillacs and Dinosaurs in both of 'em.

There was another thread that ran into this subject. I believe the conclusion we came to was that these were shipped out primarily with Double Dragon and Superman (Double Dragon having the Taito side-art...). I have the same cabinet (Double Dragon) that is waiting for some serious TLC. Someone kicked the kick panel in and cracked it in half. :p I'm also going to have to do some serious hands on re-painting on the CPO (yes! Paint!...not your typical overlay).

Sorry...went off on a rant there.
