Hey guys, I know there's an effort to possibly get some Universal joysticks created (fingers crossed), but until that happens does anyone have a good suggestion for an alternative? I currently have a WICO in my Mr. Do (I drilled new mounting holes in the plastic base so I could mount it), but I'm just not happy with it. Seems like a Nintendo 4-way would work good but not sure how that could be mounted. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

A Nintendo four way wouldn't be great. The best option is a four way Monroe stick. It plays almost identically to the original stick. You will have to drill mounting holes in the base of the Monroe to match the studs on the Mr Do! Control panel but it won't damage the stick in any way.

You might have a harder time finding a 4 way Monroe stick than another Universal stick :(. I've been following the guy on facebook who has wanted to make the reproductions, but it seems like it isn't going anywhere.

I really just mentioned the Nintendo for game play. Seems like no matter what, you'd either need some kind of adapter or drill directly into the base. Certainly, the Monroe sounds like a great solution. My Wico just doesn't seem to work well as it's not very precise at all, but I guess it could just be the stick.

I had a Nintendo four way in my Mr. Do and it was great. It also looked good installed. I never drilled any new holes but don't remember if I needed an adapter plate for it.
