Universal chassis?

I've read numerous posts asking about "universal chassis". Also I've read numerous posts asking where they could find documentation for their broken or works like crap "universal chassis".

Just drop the same coin on a rebuilt, known to actually work chassis.. Ie: most wells, go7s, etc. Plenty of stand up sellers and techs here that can sell you one.

Why even risk it? There is prolly a reason why there isn't lots of threads praising those un-named, brandless, zero documentation or tech support pieces of garbage..

Would a G07 chassis plug into and work on the tube from my Kortek (or whatever it is) monitor? Here's a pic of the tube's label:

Ok, cool. I only asked because local413 mentioned using one instead of the universal chassis. Can you tell me, just using the model number of the tube in the pic, which, if any available chassis would work directly and without modification? The tube is in beautiful shape, and I'd love to be able to use it...

Just call Alva Amusements and tell them how many pins are on the CRT's neck and the resistance of the yolk's vertical coil.

If that's gibberish to you, take a look see here...

BTW, I've had good luck with their chassis. I started a thread regarding which capacitor you should change if the picture is too wide. And Ken has tons of great threads all over the place about modding these for US use.

Good luck.
