Hello All!

I've owned a bunch of coin-op games (including a few EMs); first time with a shuffle bowler. Recently purchased it, and brought it home. It'll be set up in the next few weeks in my basement (private sale, but happy to add pictures/prices for tracking, PM me.)

I'm looking for side rubber bumpers; Marco seems out (my usual pin supply source.) Does anyone know of a source, or a suitable replacement from a place like Grainger/etc?

I do have a manual on order; was Williams nice enough to put a repair decision tree in there; eg: If machine fails to do this, clean/gap these leaf switches? If I power it up, coin in, the pins come down, but does not do anything after that point.

If not, I just plan on starting at one end with my burnishers, and end at the other one. Just hoping to be able to get some clues while I get familiar with the schematic/game as a whole...

Thanks in advance...

The manual/schematics have a lot of info, but no troubleshooting flowchart... at least not in the ones I've seen. There will be a list of relays, including what activates each one, and what circuits each one affects. Use a bit of logic and this will help you narrow things down.

I'd recommend starting by getting all of the many step-up units moving freely, and cleaning the contact rivets and faces. Once they're all stepping up and down smoothly, then begin troubleshooting.

I doubt you will need to burnish every relay contact... it would take forever anyway, and possibly make things worse. However, if you're feeling meticulous, get under the deck and inspect/clean/adjust all of the scoring switches.

For parts, you could try Pinball Resource.

Good luck!
