So, I finished as much PCB level work as I wanted to do this week on Monday. I blow out the garage with my leaf blower and put everything away and I spent the rest of the week just enjoying the cool temps while playing my arcade games.

Today I noticed rodent droppings where there were none before. Odd, I don't have pets or food and my garage is very clean. I've seen what a mouse/rat can do to internal cab wiring and I immediately go to the store and go hog wild with traps. Two spring style mouse traps. One large spring style rat trap. Two spinning style mouse traps. Four sticky sheets. I've never done this before, thing this is enough?

I baited all of them with my favorite peanut butter: Skippy creamy with honey. It's the best.

These pests don't know what they're in fo'!

Hmmmm. I've never tried Skippy creamy with honey, I usually just use the regular creamy. You must have those high falutin pests.

The only good varmit is a dead varmit.

Those spring traps with the big yellow plastic pad instead of the little metal tab bait area work a lot better. They cost a bit more, but at least the mice don't eat all the bait off and leave the trap still set.

Make sure the traps are along the edge of the room and on ledges, mice never go to the middle of the room. Also you might find it isn't mice but a chipmunk or mole.

Thanks, I'll move them around, maybe behind the games. This really has me worried about my rebuilt games, the last thing I need is chewed up wiring. I am surprised, the neighborhood has a high outdoor cat population that usually takes care of this.

I noticed some droppings on the shuffle alley that I have in my garage... just after I started using that yellow powder on it to make the puck slide (which I swear is just corn meal). Anyway.. I got one of those little plug in things that clicks every 5 seconds or so that is supposed to chase away rodents and bugs. Plugged it in next to the game, and I havent seen any droppings since. Might want to give it a try... just leave one on in your game area all the time.

Cool, Home Depot it is...5.99 Ultimate mouse trap from that video. No luck this morning.

The victors with the big yellow pad work just as good. They just don't have that second clean release bar. I think they are about $5 for two at walmart.
