These are names for the eeprom programs to restore a marvel vs street fighter game. I have access to a programmer and I am wondering where the programs go onto the various roms.

eg. does mvs.05a = a board, eeprom 5

If so, what does the last one on the list mean?

I don't know specifically for that board but GENERALLY they are ROM LOCATIONS. Usually there's a grid on the PCB with numbers on one edge and letters on the other so .05a would mean row 5, column a

Thank you

Ok, great thank you for the info! It was for marvel vs street fighter. I bought the board a+b and know that I may have to do some work on it to make sure it doesn't suicide on me in the near future. I'm actually not sure if the board has been reprogrammed or has had teh battery changed already.
I have access to a programmer so I'm getting my ducks in a row.
