Under no circumstances will any RAM Controls parts be allowed for sale here.

I talked to him on the phone years ago when he was saying he as going to reproduce the Star Wars cockpit....it seemed like he really was addicted to the accolades he was getting at the time. I think that, in turn, lead to him painting himself into a corner he couldn't get out of, so he kept diggin the hole deeper and deeper until finally he cut and ran....

WRONG. SO FUCKING WRONG.

Adam was a thief and a liar, plain and simple. Textbook scam artist.

So I will start a list of some of the products they were known to have produced and seem to be floating around still:

Major havoc roller controller (not the same as Takemans roller controller)
Star wars complete Yoke
Star wars yoke rebuild kit
720 complete joystick
720 joystick rebuild kit
Lunar Lander thruster (complete)

I'm sure there is more and if anyone feels like quoting my post and adding to it, I can link it to Tombo's original post.

Don't forget the Missile Command roller and rebuild kit too.

I think you need to be logged into a Google account for the URL to work.

Related: dust off the Usenet cobwebs, lol. Millennials be like 'dafuq is Usenet o_0'

Well damn...Ok...For the noobs...Google Adam Judd arcade

I'd entertain the possibility that it didn't start out with the scam angle part of it, but he had scammed people on rgvac years ago, the history was there.

His wife, Jan has an email address registered with

www.arcadegamesupply.com

which is also weststatebilliards.com

1225 Burton St, Fullerton, CA

Anyone nearby want to pop in and ask about Adam? I'd guess he uses his wife as a proxy.

Does the ban include parts installed in machines?

Example, I purchased a RAM roller controller here several years ago (before there was another option for a repro). If I put that in my Havoc cabinet, am I prohibited from listing it for sale on KLOV?

Good question. I do not have an answer.

I don't think it is a real question, but the answer is, sure, why not.

Unused or individual RAM control parts/kits will not be listed for sale on this forum until further notice.

Everyone lists their high priced shit on ebay anyway.

I get the ban on large stocks of RAM parts, but pieces here and there seems silly. Some people ended up getting paid back in parts. Not sure why it makes sense to hurt them again and force them to sell elsewhere. It's not like people would be selling 20 of something. In that case they might be working with them. Of course I'll play along, even if I find it silly. I don't sell shit. :56:

Heh... that's funny coming from someone who lives in a city called Sellersville. ;)

Not that you guys asked for my opinion, but I agree on selling games with RAM parts in them... assuming someone isn't abusing the policy, it'd seem ridiculous for example to ban me from selling my mostly original 720 with RAM dust washer and couple squirts of RAM nyogel.

But a reasonable enforcement of your rule would be to ban someone from selling an arcade game cardboard cutout with RAM SW yoke installed. Or, even a plug and play MAME CP with predominantly RAM controls (i.e. USB box with RAM SW yoke and a couple buttons).

I'm sure you guys will figure out where the line gets drawn as time goes on.

Just my opinion on why he turned out to be a crook, I think he was either doing drugs or gambling heavy. He would do this thing from time to time (more frequently) where he would offer people $1000 worth of parts, or credit on his site, if they'd give him $500. So it was like he needed money quick, and was cutting his prices in HALF.

As soon as I saw him doing that, I knew something was up... .few months went by and all the shit hit the fan. Around the same time was when he started the preorders for cockpit star wars cabinets, saying they'd be 100% new.... huge red flags.... like we're supposed to believe he made new PCBs... and new Vector Monitors... and new seats... and new full cabinet artwork.... etc.

The 'too good to be true' rule applied here, you don't get $1000 worth of stuff for $500... and nobody's going to make brand new Star Wars Cockpits from scratch.
