Uncrimping a crimp. Tips? Ideas? suggestions? See pics. Thanks everyone
ok, tried using my old thread but no one has viewed really.
So, Im making a new thread and dedicated to this topic.
I have the Neo 29 pins I needed, I have pulled them from a connector I got from someone and my main debate is this, I have pulled one of the pins ( see bent to hell in pics LOL) and cut the wire free (at insulated crimp point) Was easy. A issue I have found though is see the bare copper crimp point.
It's a rectangle and seems to be one SOLID piece and not two fins like the back side.
(see picture with screw driver pointing to location). I had tried to pull a few strands at a time, even one thread at a time. While this metal crimp point it pretty solid, the over all piece is still bendable. And I am trying to keep the shape so it will fit properly into the plug.
Suggestions and tips anyone have?
I am more than ok Using the used connector, I just need to figure out how in the hell to get this exposed wire out and be able to put the new ones in solder and crimp again lol.
As for the bent to hell one, I got it out once, fluke thing and then couldn't figure out how to pop it out again. after mangling the test dummy then Reshaping it i carefully inspected and figured out how I did it and what the EXACT point was to release, finishing nail ended up PERFECT to do it!!
