I'm attempting to make a decision about what color the T-Molding on a restored Ms.Pac-man should be, and was looking for opinions.

Since Ms.Pac-man is supposed to be a "chick magnet" I'd personally ask women, but there aren't that many here, so the fellas will just have to do. :)

Outside of black, which would look better? (Pink, Blue, or Yellow).

Though the pics I found don't indicate it, I'd like to point out that the joystick and possibly button colors will be the *same* as the T-Molding.

Thanks.

Another for pink. A pink joystick ball would probably be great, but pink buttons might be overkill... unless they're lit? Pink LEDs might be cool.

i had a similar dilemma when i did my pac-man:

http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=137208

although the original t-molding was orange, i didn't like it at all - orange simply doesn't fit in with the rest of the colors. i had to choose between red, yellow and blue. won't tell you which color i went with until the resto is finished ;) but i'm extremely happy with my choice!

as for the ms pac: i'll be doing a full resto this year as well, so i'll have to face this dilemma as well. judging from the pics, my vote goes for PINK!

A Ms. Pac-Man restoration will never be complete or correct until pink is completely banished from the machine. Ms. Pacs aren't pink, they're red. Or at least they are supposed to be. Bally/Midway's choice of paint was horrid. You would have had to keep your Ms. Pac in the dark at all hours, like a vampire, to prevent the colors from fading badly. It's one of the reasons I never want a Ms. Pac in my collection. They all look like crap to me these days.

I like the yellow, if it matches the yellow on the cab. I would leave the stick and buttons original color.

Yellow is definitely the best because the spacing of it with the yellow in the art looks natural, while the other colors don't, and tend to blend too much....

pink. however, in the event that a ms pac was unrestored and faded, i'd go with blue, as the hues of pink wouldn't match. all four of those colors look really good, though.

I've seen several orginal marquees and bezels that aren't faded at all, and the color on them is definately pink, not red.

As far as the t-molding, I know it's plain but I really like the blue.

We recently tried to do pink. It's hard to find. We've done the blue and it looks nice. But after seeing that Yellow.. I would definitely say Yellow.. The next two restores in my garage will probably get yellow.

Black leather textured.
If I had to make a second choice I would say pink. I think yellow looks hideous on them and blue just blends in and has no contrast.
