I am in the process of converting a Tekken Tag Dynamo HS-27 cabinet to UMK3, and I am currently trying to set up the speakers correctly. Tekken has stereo sound, so 2 pins on the Jamma harness and 2 pins on the extension harness. UMK3 is mono, so I want to make sure I setup the speakers correctly. Currently wired with the mono output going to one speaker on the cab, it's LOUD with the volume turned all of the way down. Looking at the MK3 manual, it looks like 2 - 5", 8ohm speakers are wired in parallel, which would make it 4ohm total, making it even louder!

Can someone with an actual Midway cabinet please tell me how the speakers are wired, so that I can get this correct. I believe the speakers are both 5", 8 ohm, so please verify that, and the wiring configuration.

This is the wiring diagram, according to the Mk3 manual I found online:

I was just gonna say that lol, run a small jumper wire from 1 speaker to the other, + positive to + positive wire. that will bring sound to other speaker

another thing I found out/realized is does the hs27 have a volume pot? it could be bad if the hs27 system is wired thro it for sound control ?

UMK3 has volume control on the test menu, adjust that and see if it helps if you haven't already, it like KI is very loud though

Also as someone said there will be a volume control for the cab itself which again you will need to tinker with

Yeah, it's all the way down in the menu. I am just curious if the midway wiring, and want to make sure the manual showing them wired in parallel is accurate.
