I've contacted various people multiple times about some repair on these boards I have (2 UMK3 and 1 Open Ice) and have never received a response. This has been over the coarse of a long time and various intervals, so I can only assume they are not interested or don't want to.

That is totally fine and understandable, but I am still in need of these boards being repaired because they are fully populated with no damage and there's no reason to cannibalize them for parts when they can be fixed and I already have 13 Wolf Units that I use for parts.

UMK3 board 1 is dead. UMK3 board 2 works, but the audio is bad. Open Ice is dead.

If anyone wants to take a whack at them, please let me know. Thanks...

Mike.

The problem you are going to have is not may can work on them surface mount stuff that is all over the umk3. My eyesight is going and I try to stay with the ttl logic and not much smaller than that. Channelmanic is probably the one to check with but he is usually very busy.

Yes. I have sent him a couple PMs over the last few months and he never responded. I'm not going to pester him and it's his choice whether he wants to work on them, but he's logged in numerous time since I have sent the PMs and they have gone unanswered, so I can only assume he does not want to work on them. Like I said, that's fine and understandable, so I am looking elsewhere. Thanks for the reply.

hes a busy guy, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind if you bugged him a little about giving him money :D

Sorry dude... no slight meant.

Right now I'm packed up with boards and will be traveling for the day job towards the end of Feb.

It's cool. No big deal. Totally understand. Everyone has their own thing. That's why I posted this thread. Figured you were busy and had enough respect not to pester you about something that isn't that important.

Zeno,

Have you tried Mike at arcade-services.com? He was a midway tech, very helpful, I have spoken with him a few times about my boards. I believe he charges $40 to bench and $75 and hour for his work.

If he is already on here and you have already considered him, I apologize.

No, I haven't thanks! But for $115, I could just buy a working board.
