Any one know what two pins short together in the parallel dongle to make the game run in STD res?

I think its 19 and 11 but I dont have one here to bust open.

Yup, 11+19 for standard, 12+19 for medium res.

My Ultracade came with a VGA style monitor, and I really don't like what it does to the pixels. I have seen other Ultracades running a standard style arcade monitor, and I like how they look a lot more. I always wondered what the difference was. So, if I decided to swap out the monitor to a standard arcade unit, this is how I would accomplish it???

You have to check the IO board first and see if it contains
the VGA cable input. RGB signals need to be amplified or
you'll get a very washed out picture. The Ultracade IO
boards usually have the amplifier which takes a VGA cable
and amplifies the signals out through the JAMMA connector.

Aside from that, all you need is to add the jumper.
