ultra rare game for sale

I actually put in a quality offer and got a reasonable counter offer on ebay yesterday. However I know nothing about 3D0 or any of that talk. I expressed concern about the random rebooting and the fact that how in the world would you fix or get something like that fixed. I am well versed in standard jamma cabinents but have no idea what to expect when i open this up.

Is this something that I would completly be screwed with if I snatched this up and the disc player goes out?

What about the disc itself? Where would I find a replacement? Does a disc go bad? I guess if it gets scratched up some how.

I'm the one who gave you the counter offer from my friend I am selling it for, but essentially sosage is right, the game is buggy. It's complete, but the prototype "disk" drive games we have (Bio Freaks, Tenth Degree, Beavis) all have random resets "sometimes" just because they are works in progress.

I would honestly make a copy of the disk, that is the #1 thing we did at first just to make certain but for some reason this game has avoided being dumped. We made a copy of the disk just in case, but they are all "copies" for the disk since it was all WIP (all CDR) The only other prototype game I have that didn't come out is Punky Doodle and with the amount of EPROMS on that one I had to get it saved immediately.
