How hard is it to beat the UMK3 Arcade on the master tier set to VERY HARD. I am going to do a competition in my arcade set up in the mall and the first person who beats the game on the master tier with the difficulty on very hard will win a $50 dollar gift certificate. Or should I lower the amount? Just want to get people excited about the new addition to the arcade and would like to get some feed back. I was thinking of making a bonus beat the game option of like a $100 dollar gift certificate if you beat the game with the hardest player to beat the game with.......and which character would that be? Also is there any different endings for beating the game on different tiers? Any help and advice would be helpful

Kitana sucks pretty thoroughly....I think it would be near impossible to even make it to Motaro with her on "very hard" master tier...

With the somewhat recent release of the AWESOME Mortal Kombat 2011, you might make the prize consist of their choice of a copy of it for PS3 or 360 and maybe the recently released Mortal Kombat Arcade downloadable content for PS Live and XBox Live. There are also great downloadable content characters for both platforms as well(Freddy Krueger).

kitana is one if my fave chars on umk3 and i can tell you it is totally possible to beat the game on very hard on the master tier with all chars. Its a pain in the ass, but Its basically a rhythem that you must follow in order to keep advancing. With motaro i simply use jump kicks, and full combos over and over jumping from each side.

The computer does not play fair, and will use cheap impossible moves. For instance kitana will sometimes spawn multi fans back to back which we all know is impossible to do.

Beware of jade shes a nasty bitch and her invincible move and combo make her a beast!

Id say in my opinion the weakest char would be kano or sonya, now they are both nasty in 1v1 but if i had to pick a char itd be between them.

The arcade versions of the MK games are cheap as shit even on Normal difficulty. When played straight, (ie: Not playing cheesy using the same moves over and over) it's flat out impossible to beat on the hardest setting. The computer reads your button inputs and knows your moves before you do. MK2 is the hardest of the hard, even on normal difficulty the computer flat out cheats. However the AI is dumb and can be manipulated using cheap tactics.

This game still catches me slacking every so often. it's not an easy feat unless you know the game like tommy knew pinball. great idea i must say.

Keep em coming guys

I have been trying to find an identifier for beating the game on the different tiers. Does some one know if there is a universal identifier if the highest tier has a different ending than the rest? Thanks for your help and the comments are helping out a lot, thanks everyone.

The ending that you get from beating the game on very easy is the same that you will get when you have beaten very hard master tier :(

Thanks guys

This is some good intel thanks everyone. Does anyone have the codes for when you beat the game that allows you to do different endings? Or a link to where they are? Thanks again for all the help.

Jade is the biggest bitch on UMK3. Her AI is crazy intuitive and damn near cheating. If you can beat her on Very Hard, you have skills.

I beat the game on Master on Very Hard...without jumping. Granted, it's MK3 and not UMK3, but the techniques used work with either game.

Also did it with Kung Lao....

UMk 3 juggernaut

I have the Juggernaut set installed and the second master tier has three "E" stages the first two are ermac and jade the second reptile and mileena and the third I think was sindal, scorpian, and sub zero, on very hard setting I could not beat that tier stage. I beat mk3 on very hard master once, nice moves btw and is that a multi jamma set up or mame?

Up for grabs

it's a fighting game...why wouldn't you run a tournament for the gift certificate?

I Have the game in an arcade in a mall. So anyone with a quarter and mad skills can get the certificate if they beat the game on the second master tier set to very hard. MK and SF tournaments are always one sided in my opinion, meaning it is usually always the same few people who win them. This way anyone can win the gift card and no one feels they wasted an entrance fee to go up against some of these nationally ranked guys........naaah this seems more fair and fun for patrons who frequent the mall to play arcades for fun.

Ongoing

Forgot to mention that, Most of the arcades have a win a prize option if you beat them, dvds, tee shirts, gift certificates, etc. I think that UMK3 is the hardest one to beat realistically in my arcade, save for like the three or four people in the world that can spend 4-5 hours on a donkey kong or centipede and beat them.........does super off road have an ending? Any way Its one gift certificate a person. That being said, does anyone know somebody who has beatin the Juggernaut UMK3 version second master tier on very hard?

Ha! Thanks Trill. I get my ass handed to me on a regular basis on Kaillera. There are WAY more people out there who are just ridiculously good at MK.
