I'm planning on changing out the 8 way leaf spring joystick in my Midway cocktail cabinet. The cocktail was originally a Gorf model, and it still has the Gorf CPO and 8 way joystick. That stick is driving me nuts on games like Ms. Pac Man (getting stuck in corners), and I would like to change it out to the nifty Ultimarc Mag-Stik Plus (with ball top) joystick that can switch on the fly from 4 way to 8 way, since my table has games in it that support 8 way control. My first question is whether the bolt pattern on this stick is the same as the newer Ms. Pac Man / Galaga cabinets (it appears in the picture to be rectangular, instead of square)? If it is the same bolt pattern as the newer cabinets, as far as I understand it, my table will require a mounting bracket that will extend the joystick out to meet the bolt holes in my control panel. The only problem I have found is that at quarterarcade.com, there is a mounting bracket for Ms. Pac Man (http://www.quarterarcade.com/Game.aspx/4473) and one for Galaga (http://www.quarterarcade.com/Game.aspx/4826). Since mine is a Gorf model, the question is, which one works? When I look in my cabinet, it appears that the bolt holes are like the Galaga model. They appear to be about 3/8" outside of the 4"x4" square frame of the joystick. I also saw this mounting template at Mike's Arcade that appears to have both types of holes drilled in it http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?sku=MJOYA.

My second question is, will the Ultimarc stick work with the mounting brackets I listed, and if so, which one should I use? I'm guessing the one with both sets of Galaga and Ms. Pac holes would be the safest bet...
