Uhaul Trailer - First time

Hey guys, I really appreciate the responses. Everything went well. I was really sketched out at first but once I got on the highway for a solid 6 hours I was good to go. Stopped at some rest stops with plenty of parking and gas pumps designed for long hauler. Took turned wide and kept it the speed limit.

So north adams mass to buffalo ny. Thats is pretty much the complete distance of the state of ny. Ive been on longer trips for lesser cabs but always took my van or rented one of those nice high roof vans.

Prices have really gone up on those so this had to be the way.

Long drive for sure.

So what did I end up with? Nothing to really write home about. Qix cab that just got converted to alkanoid. Bally Sente SAC1B cabinet converted to a dart game..

Cabs are solid and unpainted and cheap which made me have to go.

I have to pick up 3x cabinets in PA this weekend. Probably do the van but im tempted to get the 6 x 12 open trailer from uhaul, so cheap per day but I have no idea what weather im going to hit.

I can't risk getting these cabs damaged or wait.. one of them is a rare bird!

Anyone got any tips on where i could get an unlimited mile high top van to rent?

Keeping this thread going for those who car about the uhaul experience. Decided to do a 6x12 covered. Im going to lay one in the back of the van and then lay 2 side by side in the trailer.

Its like a video game and im on level 2. Let's hope its not game over!

6 hours x 2.

Much more interesting cabs coming. May justify its own thread...

Ive never had an issue with a covered Uhaul 8 x 5. pay them on their back and they are the perfect size not to shift around. put blankets between them not to scratch each other and on the sides. I have probably done this 30+ times

Enterprise. You can get unlimited mileage on a tall van and you can move them standing up. Will run you about $100, Plus gas. Check your local Enterprise office. Each location varies on what they have.

I move pinball machines all the time, and 2x per year in a U-Haul trailer. Tips- Shrink wrap your games with pallet wrap if you can. Tie down straps are your friend. If stacking side by side, go to the dollar store and get $10 worth of swim pool noodles, they make excellent padding between games. Here is a video of one of my loads.
