Ugh...can I use a 25" JAMMA harness for a 19"?

Yay...it's frickin' Sunday...been waiting to put my restored Pac-Man altogether for weeks, open up my box from Arcadeshop and find out that they gave me a 25" harness instead of the 19" that I ordered for my WG 4626. Man, I really don't want to wait another week to ship this thing back and then get a new one. I know that's what I'll likely have to do, but didn't know if I had any other viable options. Thanks!

Derek

BTW-this is for a multi, pretty much exactly like JeffC's

I cant imagine what would be different between the two harnesses. You should be fine.

Matt

Probably referring to the video connector.......
The harness he got most likely has a one piece connector, a K4600 uses a two piece (split) connector.

Cut it.

Thanks for the help guys. Yeah, it's 1 connector, not 2...I'll have to figure out where to cut it. Called Arcadeshop (didn't think they'd answer Sunday which is why I posted here), and they said the only difference is that the 25" mount on one side of the cab vs. the 19" mounting on the other. They were out of the 19", so they sent me a 25". Just finished populating my CPO, which was crazy tough because of the weird custom stuff I did, so I haven't even had time to wire everything...off to do that now.

Well that makes absolutely no sense to me.
Nor does it have anything to do with connecting to a K4600. (most 19" use the same connector as a 25")
G07 is another that may be split.

You'll be fine, just look at the pinout for a K4600, separate the the RGB section from the Sync section of that connector.

Yours will NOT have the yellow wire shown in these pics.
But you may have to run a loop over to where the yellow wire is if you can't adjust the sync out enough.

And you don't have to cut the connector. the long 10-pin molex will bridge both connectors on the 4600...

Ah... yer right.
I was counting the gap as an extra pin for some reason. (10+1)

So yeah, just get your wires in proper order. :)
Red, Green, Blue, Ground .............. Sync

Actually, it didn't have a 10 pin molex...only the 6 pin with the last 2 slots filled. I slid those 2 out and used the 3 pin molex from my original power supply. I finally just gave up and did a hodgepodge of the original power supply and the new one. I'm running the speaker, control panel, coin mech, and reset button off the harness, but I'm running the lights and monitor off the original power supply. The wire for the light wasn't long enough to reach (and the connector wouldn't work without cutting and splicing the original wire) and other than the signal input for the monitor, I don't know how you get power to it. I guess I'm just dumb, but it at least works now. I was going to keep the original harness, power supply, and board in there anyway, so now it's at least getting use instead of useless weight.
