Hello,
Just saw several posts on the help forum with members questions about wiring up a S&T board to their UDOT to get speech. Several years ago before I sold my UDOT with the speech mod, I thought I'd try to make the fluorescent light behind the joystick flash like it does on EDOT, I managed to get a working flashing fluorescent pcb and flasher relay board but never got around to actually wiring it up. At the time I thought if I were to rewire the fixture, make the necessary connections to the PCB's and to the boardset I didn't see any reason why it wouldn't work. Has anyone tried this?

There's nothing you have to do to your board that would hurt it. You just clamp wires to different places. As for the flashing sequence, I thought about it...to the extent I thought it would be cool. I have no idea how to make it work.

I think resipsa bought one (first listed on ebay) where the guy had the S&T and fluorescent flashers working; the seller had a video of both working. So it's possible. Probably not any more diffcult that wiring a S&T, you need both the flasher board and the relay boards. Looks like it's a couple wires off the SSIO and +5, GND and the CKT line from the power supply.
