Replacing u501 made no apparent changes. No adverse screen effects other than the slightly wavy image I mentioned before, it reminds me of something you'd see with a bad ground. My other U5000 had a wavy image like this to the best of my memory, and I solved it by removing the ground from the A/C connector, I thought maybe I might have the opposite problem here so I decided to plug it up to the game it'll eventually be going in, a single Daytona USA project I bought instead of my isolation transformer I use for testing... but to no avail, still wavy... any other ideas?
But on the other hand! The Daytona works! lol its the first time I got to try it with a monitor.

(BTW: thanks @kysnow that sound board I got from you works! I tested it while I was at it, saves me from repairing one of my bad ones, lol)
