you can't hurt it by trying.. I would think it would work, but I have not tried it. you can't hurt it by trying. you will need the original shelf mount frame.
If you need it I have a k7000 shelf mount frame. I also have a spare 720 monitor..
It will prolly work, I'm in the process of re-pinning a connector for a 7500 that's going into a 720. As it won't sync correctly.. Composit sync is left out in the original 720 video harness.
Okay, so far I have several "probably's", which is where I already was
I should point out that I don't actually OWN this monitor yet, so there is a cost to trying it out in that I'd have to buy it and schlep that big heavy thing to my house.
I also own a 720 monitor that I replaced the neckboard on and haven't quite got working yet. Since I don't have a definitive "Yes! I've got one working in my 720 right now", I think maybe I'll take the 5515 I have to P&L and try to go that route before spending the bigger bucks to get the newer monitor without being sure.
I say if your 5515 doesn't have screen burn, then get it working. Mine had issues on top of medium burn, so that's why I finally had enough and am swapping it for the 7500 from Local413.
I'm hoarding a U5000 for my 720 myself in case my 5515 dies beyond repair. If I get around to trying it myself before Bill does, I'll be sure to post here.
