Does anyone have a list of caps and postions for a WGU5000. I am trying to find a cap map also. I have looked in the service manual and found the map but has no values. I got a kit from Bob Roberts and I recieved a Kortek 13" list with a U5000 kit.

Thanks,
Dustyn

doh!

I have lists for both Bob's and Happ's kits for a U5000.

I lack a scanner. would digital camera pictures suffice?

Any update on this. I just need the cap list and postions. and then I am going to make a cap map for everyone.

If it's anything like a K7400/K7500 (which is similar) I have a Mouser cap list available.

not to derail here, but is the 7500 functionally the same as the U5000? I have an extra color transistor for a U5000, and I think green's out on my 7500. either that, or the rarest (see: impossible) situation transpired and I actually have a bad green pot on the neckboard.

gonna try to find my cap list sheets at work. give me an hour. I suggested to OP to try e-mailing Bob or Chad, they might have them readily on hand.

I'll try to upload the U5000 cap kit list when I get back to the shop in a few minutes.

As for the 7500, it uses a different yoke and is medium-res only, while the U5000 is dual-res...

Hey Mod,

Any chance you were able to track this down. I am doing one now and Bob has C117 as a 10uF while I pulled a 22uF off the board. All of my 7500's are also 22uF there so I am not sure what is up with this.

Damnit, I keep forgetting when I'm at work.

But a quick glance at the manual/schematic (which I probably used when making my cap kit) lists C117 as a 10uF 50v Electrolytic.

BTW - if this is the one near the flyback, I've seen a 22uF in there, too. I put a 10uF and it worked, but I guess it will work with a 22uF. Perhaps it was an upgrade after the paperwork was done...

C117 is a 22uF@63V located in the power supply section of the power supply. I usually use a higher voltage rating as this is a common failure with this monitor.

That doesn't explain why the service manual - and Bob's cap kit - list it as a 10uF 50v....

edited for correctness of terms...
