Probably a dumb question but here goes: I have cab with a 25" monitor that I think had a K7000 in it and I'm putting a U2000 in it now. Since it already had an isolation transformer for the K7000, I'm just going to use it even though the U2000 doesn't need it. Question is, the previous setup only had two wires for the power connection to the chassis. The U2000 has three pins on the chassis. I'm assuming the third wire is just ground. Would I use earth ground or should I grab ground from the switcher? Or leave it unplugged?

If you want to use it, you need Earth ground. If you don't want to use it, you don't have to. It's always a good idea to ground everything in the cab, especially the monitor, but it's not absolutely necessary for operation. The K7000 had its ground on a frame connection. The U2000 gets it through the power connector.
