Are there any dedicated cabs stateside? Please post a pic if you have one!

Thanks!

I saw one on eBay a few years ago that was located in the USA. The game looks like a modified Naomi upright cab with the two keyboards added. The same seller also had a Samba de Amigo version 2000 arcade unit for sale as well. Still wished I picked those up.

Today I learned that this game existed as an arcade. Too damned cool!

I have the hacked PC version somewhere as I actually like playing it on a Microsoft keyboard more than the Sega issued ones for Dreamcast. This is the same HKT-7600 keyboard shown on the Sega Naomi cab they used for the arcade.

I have this game on my pc - it's helped me get a HUGE improvement in my typing skills. I'd love to get an original copy w/box, but they're pretty scarce.

The question is, are there any English versions of the arcade game? It's gotta be pretty tough otherwise.

I have this Naomi cart. As well as 2 small japanese dreamcast keyboards. The dreamcast controller ends have been hacked off and replaced with the connectors that fit on the Naomi maple I/O ports.

The game doesn't play in English, at least language wise. It plays with english characters, so you will be spelling japanese sounding words. Quite a challenge over the US dreamcast version.

The game is completely playable, except for one part where a boss asks questions that need answers. Completing this part is just luck with a 1 in 3 chance of picking the right text bubble to spell, and will probably require a few continues. Unless you know japanese.

I recently acquired one of these cabinets and both the lupin III and typing of the dead games. I was hoping for a setting that would allow play in english, but it doesn't seem like it. Even with a USA bios it says "only for use in Japan."

Congrats on the pickup!

I've never played Lupin 3. Does that one have an English language option? Is it any fun?

It looks like if I ever want to play English-language Typing of the Dead, I'd be better off building my own cab . . . damn.

I didn't see any setting for english in either game. at this point I'm planning to just run the DC version in the cab.

I wonder how hard it would be to hack the rom?
