Re: Icehole

So like, F you then eh?

jk

I once traveled to LA on vacation. There I met Harry Anderson.
He asked me "Hey, what's the difference between a canoe and a canuck?"
Answer: "There's always a chance the canoe will tip!"

From the story:

The hut is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. but Drouin said ice fishers have so far been shy to step inside.

"If there's no interest in it this weekend, I'll probably be closing it down," he said. "The arcade industry is not as strong as it used to be."

I know I shouldn't have, but I laughed quite loudly at the last two lines. Still anyone who tries and keeps games available to the public is a hero in my book though I can't say I'm surprised that an arcade in an ice hut isn't going to make it...

edit -- I wonder if there was a Rowe or some other token/quarter machine in there. I doubt a lot of people on the ice for a day of fishing have a couple bucks in quarters in their pockets...

It failed because it wasn't a tech noir themed pizza ice hut... Yah... Someone was going to say it!

It failed because he didn't have a change machine. Who brings quarters to go ice fishing...
