Hi,
I have a Two-Bit Super ABC 16 game kit that I bought from someone a few years ago and just now getting around to installing it in my Ms Pac-Man cabinet.
as I recall the person never installed.
So while going through the instructions everything seems pretty straight forward.
until I got to step four.
In my kit I have three chips two that are marked 4A & SN74LS161AN When it should have had one for 4A, 7F & SN74LS161AN
Could this be a typo?
After looking at the chips closer I knotted down the paint pen ink off the top to read the chips as you can see and they are different.
Chip1: MB7052 Japan 8347 M56
Chip2: MB7052 Japan 8348 M56
But are they really different, So am I okay in putting the other 4A in the 7F socket.
If so what one do I put in 4A 7F location on the PCB?

The mb7052 are the bi-polar color proms, each will have its own code on it and belong in its on location. They are otp (one time programable) parts. I know where that lot of 7052's came from;0

Thanks, for the information. I was just doing a search on them and was finding that out.

Is there a way to read the data on chips and dump that data on a new chip?

What I'm getting it is to see if somebody maybe has the other Chip that could copy and program for me or something. Or if I could get a copy of the data and program my own.

Looking for a 7F chip or have an image of it that I can burn to a new chip.

okay, what I'm trying to do is mod my original ms.pac-man with the Twobits super ABC kit.
I've been meaning to do it for a few years when I bought the cabinet and the kit.
I assumed the kit was whole and not missing the part 7F chip.

So now I have some time to get around to it, make sense?

So I'm either looking for someone I can get the chip with the image on it of provide me with an image so I can dump it on to a chip with my Needhams.

You are correct, you are missing the 7F prom (looks like someone has put two 4A color proms in the kit, instead of one 4A and one 7F).

You'll need to find someone who's got the kit and is prepared to dump the 7F contents for you. If you have a suitable programmer, you can burn the image to a N82S123 (or equivalent) prom. Most programmers can't burn this chip so you might have to ask around for someone to do this for you.

think these guys bought out 2bits

Yeah just reached out to them and they are hooking me with the 7F chip.

good for you. simpler then you thought. I got a braze pacman and these things make the game system so much more enjoyable
