Two random wires on Marble Madness (where should they go?)

I'm going to look in the manuals a little later tonight, but I recently noticed on my newly acquired Marble Madness that there are two wires hanging down in the back that are not connected to anything. They look like, perhaps, they could connect the to the MM daughter card/cartridge. See the pic below.

Any idea what these go to and/or do?

HEY!

Congratulations!
Where did it come from and what are the details?

Mine doesn't have those two wires as far as I know. I see two lugs on the daughterboard in the picture, but I wouldn't go willy-nilly plugging them in.

See if they have any voltage on them. and see if the lugs are tied to +5V and ground.

Does it play?

Got it from out of state. Had it shipped... Paid more than the KLOV price, but I'm happy with the deal --- and that's what counts, isn't it?

Yes, it's working... some cosmetic issues, but game plays just fine. I've never had anything shipped, but that turned out to be a big non-issue. I picked it up at the freight center and into the back of my minivan it went...

I just took the back panel off and can now see what the wires are. They come from a splice in the wires that feed power to the monitor! See pic below.

This isn't mentioned anywhere in the system 1 manual I can see. I'm assuming it is some after market mod --- wonder what the goal was? Anyway, I'm going to tie them up and leave them alone. As can been seen from the pic, it was at least a quality splice (no electric tape).

If anyone else knows any history to these, i'd love to hear.

Reasonable guess... I'm going to take the monitor cover off again and see if the spliced wires have the same marking as the source wires. If they do, perhaps this was done at the factory...

Well it's not factory, you can tell because of the wire clamps. Not to mention the text on the wire itself and insulation.

But why would anyone tie into the 120Vac of the monitor? Just asking for trouble there.
