Hey!

Well, I want to try and get this Funhouse done:) It's in very good condition!

However, the pop bumpers seems strange. They *sort-of* work when the ball hits
them, but it's like they run dry after a hit or two! BAM - and then nothing. Later
they be able to do that again BAM, then nothing. In test mode they work like a charm!

This make them somewhat boring...any ideas?

My other problem is a HUM from the main cabinet. I've never had that problem with
any machine before. Also, when I turn the machine on or off a loud OOMF is heard
from the speaker! Grounding issue??

Any advice here?

Thanks for your time!

i'd install new coil sleeves and deburr the plunger
and clean them good while it's apart

maybe even install new springs and clean the switch contacts too !

and install some new LED's

If the coil can move freely then no need to change the coil sleeves, If it dont move freely then you will need new coils, as the sleeve is melted in there, just grab a, hold of the pop bumper coils and see if theres a bit of play. Its your spoon switch that needs adjusted and the spoon cleaned as well. I just had this same problem with my pop-bumpers, and realized that the spoons were dirty and contacts needed cleaned to, just used a business card for the contacts and novus #2 for the spoon. Pop-bumpers are firing harder then before. You have dead spots is why sometimes your pops fire and sometimes dont. Also make sure the pop bumper skirts "penis" is centered in the spoon too, this is important. This hum you here is probably due to the boards in the backbox are either missing screws or need them tighten, I had this issue when i first bought my pin and discovered that the boards were missing several screws, pulled one out and went to hardware store and got the screws and installed them and the annoying hum went away. Have fun and enjoy!
