Two Playchoice 10's - How do I get the best of both?

Hey guys,

Looking for some suggestions / options as to what I should do.

Pictures of both systems are here -- https://picasaweb.google.com/106991052565444157494

I ended up picking up two PC10's for about $650 all in. Both ended up having some type of cabinet damage. One cabinet is mostly intact (ie no large chunks missing) and the second is missing some bits and would probably take some bondo effort.

PC 1 - Had a dead monitor.. already resolved that. Electronics and components are all original (psu, marquee light, etc) PCB is in good condition w/ no corrosion. The cabinet looks like someone tried to move it from the top and pulled too hard. From what I can see they physically broke the board and it required them to use screws to hold it back in place.

PC 2 - Was the honey pot for the games. Monitor worked (same cruddy k7000a) board worked. Accessories like the PCB cage are a little rough around the edges... Original PSU is there but they installed a switcher for some reason. Marquee light looks like it was replaced with some standard lamp and someone rigged in an extension cord to pull from the AC-In. Blatently damaged from moving straps which is sad, but it is structuraly sound. Additionally, this cab has the gun / holder and looks like it was painted originally from the factory. It does not have the same plastic on the outside.

Sooooo I am thinking a few things:

(1) I can gut PC2 and put the guts from PC1 in there and just bondo / patch the sides the best I can. This way I can just sell PC1 as a working, functional system but just needs work. Literally. Then keep the PC2.

(2) I can fix PC1 and leave PC2 alone.

(3) I can go crazy and gut both. take the "good sides" from each cab and use them with the PC1 parts, and recstruct the second with "damaged" sides and the parts from PC2

(4) Fix both [ugh] and repair the power supply back to original. Honestly, this option while probably good, is my least favorite. I have some $ caught up in these obviously, but I live in a townhouse and I really dont have the room to do two restorations. Plus I would have to bondo, etc outside since everything is in my basement.. just seems like more effort. Secondly, if im going to restore it.. no point in keeping some hackjob wiring and power supply etc - again more expense and time.

What do you guys think would be the best way for me to get a nice system for myself and still be able to sell the second pc10 as a working, restoration project??

Thanks,

Matt
