Two NON-original restorations w/pics!

How'd you end up lighting the Centipede marquee?

(Both machines look great!)

Just a cheap fluorescent light from Menards ($9) mounted behind the marquee (tight fit.) I ran a screw on either side to reinforce it just in case.

They look great. The side art on the Centipede is a bit low, though.

I think white t-molding would look good on the Frogger. But, I agree, it does pull the blue out of the marquee.

Question... is your bezel on the Frogger glass or plexi? Was it originally plexi? or glass? Mine is plexi and was wondering...

Veyr nice! Very nice.
I do agree with some a black front may be even better. But yes bravo, the original frogger is def a down grade from you have done.

Did you consider putting the centipede art work higher on your pede machine?

A+ in my books

Thanks. I did move the side art around a bit, but decided on where it is now. I like having it square with the bottom and back. The further I moved it up, the less I liked it because it seemed "off" and I didn't like the head of the centipede getting up towards the top. The bulk of the body of the cabinet lies in the rectangular section so it was to my liking to keep most of the artwork there.

I'm lov'in the green Frogger too! Nice work on the Centipede as well.

I can look at "before" and "after" pictures like these all day!

I really like the green of the Frogger cab. IMO, that looks FAR better than the factory woodgrain. I do have to agree that the blue t-moulding just doesn't seem right. I think blkdog7 had it: White T-moulding. That would look great!

The Centipede also looks fantastic, except for the sideart. I'm sorry, but that is just WAY too low on the machine. I can't say that I've ever seen any machine with sideart laid out like that. But, as long as you like it and are happy with it, THAT'S what counts.

I applaud two VERY nice jobs done! Be proud!

I think it's placed too low as well, but the real problem with the way it looks is that it's too small. If Sav would be so kind as to post a pic of his mini with the NOS factory side art, you'd see what I mean. That's happened to me with ink jet repro stuff a few times. It looks good, but the scaling always is off. Remember my DK3 Restoration? Probably not, but if you did, you would have seen side art that looked right graphically, but was only scaled to 2/3 actual size.

If I ever find another frogger, im going to paint it green. With it painted green, it reminds me of the electronic Coleco handheld. Nice job man!

So wrong to you, but guess what?! I like it. I like it A LOT, so :p

I didn't say you didn't do a great job. They look awesome. You simply were screwed by a person who prints shit at whatever size they want (much like Phet and his DK3 art).

No worries.
