twister

Anyone know anything about it? I'm getting garbled audio. Already did a full cap kit on it no change?

Haven't seen one of these in a while. Oh the joy of pulling apart
that coin chute to unjam it.

Have you also done the big cap(s) on the power supply ? I've seen
a lot of Lazertron games where one of the legs burns off and you'll
get screwy sound.

No I will have to check that

When I power on it sounds right for a split second then becomes horrible almost instantly. If I turn the volume pot it has static sound even when there is no sound being played. I already put in a new pot with the same results. I did notice the 12v is around 14 the 5 volts is dead nuts.

sound fixed (I think)

Still not any high quality sound but being that I have nothing to compare it too I think I have it fixed ended up being the audio amp.

Cadillac Jack made me change out the original lazertron ps board with a 24V switcher on our Ribbit Racin'. I'm going to guess youre running the old board still?

we got Bermuda Triangle as well which I think is functionally identical to Twister and never looked at the sound board on that, but Ribbit Racin' has 2 other small pots on the sound board that control the volume. There's probably just 1 pot on Twister, I would encourage wiping that to see if there's any change.
