Maybe they are father and son...who knows. Here's the deal:

Sega Turbo Out Run:
This is a full-size upright converted (as apparently was quite common) from a standard Out Run. Game is fully operational. Side art has been touched up in several places, but looks pretty good unless you examine it. A little corner damage on the left side of the "floor board" where the pedals are. I got this with the intent to move it right into the line up because I desperately wanted a driver, but after moving it around in the garage over the past several weeks, I realize how stinkin heavy it is and I really don't want to move it into my basement.
$250 SOLD!!!

Sega Turbo:
This an original full-size upright I got as a project. Monitor had vertical collapse (fixed). Still has some video issues, since I haven't completed the cap kit yet (cap kit included). Game plays well, but most of the sounds are missing. 12" woofer surround was rotted, but am including a replacement. A few small repairable cig burns on dash surround. The side art and unique T-molding are in really pretty good shape too - one side has some scratches, but quite good overall. LED high score displays work great. Parts alone would be great for someone, but it's too good to part out.
$100

Buy the pair for $300

These just need a Turbo lover (bad Judas Priest reference?). I'd do it, but I really realized I'd rather have my TRUE driver grail: Pole Position! So, if you have a working PP or PPII, I'll definitely consider a trade! Other trades considered: Asteroids (upright), Championship or Super Sprint.

Help me land a grail!

PS - Loveland is on the NE side of Cincinnati - not far from Kings Island

Getting some interest in the Turbo. How about Turbo Out Run, too? $300 for a pair of drivers - not too shabby! For anyone committed to either or both, I have a truck and can haul one or both - particularly if it involves one of the aforementioned trades. :D

You know, I actually have a fully working Pole Position sitting down here in Texas that gets no love........and I do like the looks of that Turbo Outrun.

That Turbo looks to be in great condition with nothing missing...tough to find that. Does the shift knob metal cap insert have anything printed on it, or is it just worn metal? I believe there used to be something there, but nobody has one intact to examine.

Got a couple more pics. The first is a close-up of the shift knob insert. The second is of the Sega seal on the glass bezel. I can see the remnants of what looks like the word "Sega" in the lower portion of the knob insert. Don't know if it's faded/hazed or if it would clean up, but it looks very similar to the "machine-turned" aluminum look of the seal picture, which is why I include it for reference. (BTW - how come when I upload pics they come in as thumbnails and others are able to post large format pics?)

Additional pics taken for interested party - close-up of dash/control panel and left side of cabinet (there is a y-shaped scratch on the top and left of the red car in the graphic)

I have a couple of sound boards for Turbo, neither have 100% of the sounds, one is missing the explosion sounds (drive well and you don't hear that anyway), the other is missing the "beep" countdown sounds.

Great price on these games, I paid more for each of mine than what these 2 are being offered for...

BUMP

BUMP

Thanks for the bump. Seriously - I thought these would be gone by now. I could part out for a lot more, but am not gonna do that. What will it take? :)

...

How about
Sega Turbo Out Run: $225
Sega Turbo: $75
BOTH: $275

For anyone planning to attend the Louisville sale on Jan 28 (next Sat), I could potentially bring them there if you buy them both, if that helps anyone.

I just got the Karate Champ - it was a surprise grail. Can't quite see parting with it so soon. I've decided I'm digging games that 2 (or more) people can play at once (my twin boys like to play each other or play against me). I've been thinking about your Super Sprint since we pm'd many months back. Perhaps we can work something out.

Turbo Out Run has been SOLD!!

Somebody come get this Turbo for $75 before I try to keep it and complete it...

OK - had a trade+$ deal worked out with the Turbo to get one of my 2012 grails: Super Sprint! However, seller found a cash buyer before I could get there (no hard feelings - 1st one there with $ wins). So, this Turbo is STILL available. Please buy it for $75 or help me get one (or more!) working sound boards so I can restore this thing.
