This is a game I picked up a little while back. Just started fooling around with it. One monitor works good. The other has a scrambled image. See attached pics. Cannot seem to attach video for you to see. I have unplugged both from the board & swapped the plugs. Pretty sure it's a monitor issue. I tweaked Horiz Hold & made it more stable, but not any better. Its a WG 19K4906. Anyone know what the root cause may be or Please beware, I'm rather new to all of this. Thank you all for your help.

it looks like it just needs adjusted....is there a small board with about 6 pots (dials) on it? if so, adjust them...sometimes these boards are mounted inside the cabinet where you open the coindoor on the front

The only board I see with little dials on it is the main chassis board. There are pretty much no other adjustments on this game. See the attached pic. It's not the best shot, but I am dealing with the monitor on the right of this pic. The left side monitor has the same dials, but in a different layout. These are Horiz size, Horiz hold, black level, & about 4 vert adjustments. Are these the ones I need to adjust? There are also two (that I can see) dials on the little board on the monitor neck. Cant read what they are for from the angle. Thanks again.

so when you swapped the connectors, did the problem stay with that monitor or go to the other monitor? i know if you have the sub harness plugged in backwards you will get a scrambled screen as well.

if the problem stays with the same monitor, then it may just be that your pots are bad or have cold solder joints.

Yes, when I swapped the connecter, the problem stayed with the monitor. Ruled out the board that way. I guess I didn't really look closely, but I believe it can only be plugged in one way. I have not even attempted to mess with most of the pots yet. I have only adjusted the Horizontal hold and that was only to see if it made a difference.

Yeah! It works! Got it pretty close although it seems the colors are a little off. Took a few hours of tweaking. I am getting very slight screen bending at the very top of the left monitor. Still, I am pleased with it. Fixed a coin mech & marquee light too. Now everything works! Thanks for the help to everyone. I really appreciate it. Now to see if I can properly install a capkit on my Centipede G07.

If the game has a test mode that gives you a test pattern, especially color bars or some type of color pattern, that really helps when adjusting them so you can get each color even. While they're old the K4900s are pretty good chassis.

That is what I used to get around the color and bleeding issues. Between the test patterns and the general game teasers, I kind of got it right. Thanks for all of your help.

As I had stated above, there is / was some minor screen bending at the very top of the left monitor. Once I got is adjusted, we played some head to head Cyberball for about 90 minutes or so. Worked well. About 15 minutes into it, I noticed no more bending. Why is this? Can anyone say? I'm thinking a cracked solder joint somewhere.
