Could this be the final nail in the coffin for this "authority" on video game high score record keeping?

Will this send more people over to Aurcade for record keeping?

Care to discuss, or do we even care? :p

I'll bet you that it has to do with the Guinness Book telling them to make it this way. They don't make money selling books when the info is available for free on the internet. Is it right? Hell no. It sucks. And yes, it will be the death of Twin Galaxies in my opinion. Too bad.

Put me in the don't care category. Only been there a few times years ago and never went back. I would rather know how I rank against my KLOV brothers... :)

It's free to register, no big deal really. Put some fake crap in there with a gmail address and don't worry about it.

Now, how horrible that new website's interface is...ooof.

If they leave, I doubt they'll head to Aurcade. I've been there several times and can't find the scoreboard I've heard about.

I just noticed that the other day. I am thinking about trying for the record on Propcycle. I doubt many people own one like I do, and most are all busted up now.

Agreed. I don't mind logging in with a throw-away email address, but holy shit, that web site design is straight outta Geocities circa 1996.

A fair complaint. I actually intentionally left it off the main page in the beginning mainly because I was running tournaments and didn't feel it was needed. But more and more people want to see their scores/stats so searching scores and better navigation is coming.

I'm ramping up for Funspot's next tournament, so expect some nice additions.

It's really horrible in so many ways. They have broken all of the old links and bookmarks. I've already complained to them and encourage others to do the same.

I personally would welcome an alternative to Twin Galaxies that did a better job of validating and recording their high scores with the games from 20+ years ago. There's too much drama and absurdity with some of the WR scores from back then and I don't believe that TG has handled this particularly well.
