Twin Galaxies is back up in Beta

I wouldn't say it looks really nice, but better than before. The most important part, though, is you don't have to register to search for a score.

Hmm, how can I put this politely... it looks like shit. Very 1990's and amateur'ish. Spend a few bucks, get a web designer to spit out a site and be done with it.

I'm sure on KLOV there are a few web nerds willing to donate their time.

It doesn't take 20 seconds between page loads like the site of yester-year...

..that's a good thing.

Looked at my Lunar Lander record.. Something looks really weird.. I first beat the record at the Seattle Show in 2010. Walter Day was there.. The Offical record was 1525 held by David Nelson set at Funspot in 2003.. This information was not only posted on the original Twin Galaxies website, but also in the Twin Galaxies World Record Book. My record breaking score at the Seattle show was 1705.. I beat that record a few months later and the offical my offical record is 2075..

Looking at the new Twin Galaxies website says the #2 player is Paul Camara???? The new website says his score was 1900, set the same day and place as Dave Nelson????

Where did this Score come from??? Is there a contact email for Twin Galaxies???

I think I read somewhere that TG is only going to keep the highest score per player. Basically, you can't own 1st, 2rd, 3rd etc, jus the highest. I could be wrong though.

I second that.

I noticed that you cannot click on a player to see the rest of their scores. I hope that feature is coming since it's actually useful and I don't see a way to search for a player (they need that, also).

I like it, but I'll admit I'm not the toughest person to please when it comes to that kind of thing. I do like the look considerably more than what it was before. And the search feature is way faster than it was before. Very responsive.

It looks like they're still working out some bugs, though. There seem to be some date errors and I'd be surprised if expanded search features aren't in the offing. It is a beta version, after all.

Go to the new site and click on the main bar items "about", "events", "news" or other selectable items on the page. None of these links work. Why would anyone put up something this incomplete??

Jesus people... it says "BETA" right on the site.

Silly question, but what about missing categories? They have City Connection listed under MAME and Wii console but not the arcade version (because it is so F*CKI*G rare that no one ever submitted a score). I HAVE an an actual board in an actual cabinet and everything. Can I submit a score or not?

it loads wierd for me.. everything is offset to the left, and i don't see anywhere to even click to look at scores.

I love that game and have it mastered. You better hope I don't find a board or you'll be #2. :)

need to take out consoles.

..... and launching a site as beta that is 90% broken should not be put online.

Better yet, I post the world record, then you come to visit and beat my record on my own machine, really make it sting, just buy breakfast the next morning.!!!
