I have a Twin Eagle (http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=10233) JAMMA PCB for sale. It does have a sound issue. The sound is not working but the rest works fine. You can see and play the game just the sound isn't working. I'm guessing it's a sound amp problem (MB3730A). I can fix this board for an extra $20.

The way the board is right now I'll sell it for $20 plus shipping, if you want me to fix the sound problem then it's $40 plus shipping.

thanks,
Andre

I got it to work....turned out to be a bad PS (low 12v). Anyway, it's working 100% sound and all. $50 shipped in the US.

thanks,
Andre

I always wondered what was being sung during the high-speed rock music sequence.

my guess:
"whaaa whaaa whaaa gonna mig a town.
tell them all they're gone"

not sure how you "mig" a town, but it
sorta fits the fighter jet theme and,
well, the japanese love them some engrish.

Personally, I think the music is the most entertaining part of the game. As hilarious as it is, it was kinda uncommon at the time since it was actually digitized studio music.

I always though something like "whaa whaa whaa gonna break it down".

Just found this. This is the original song that they took the sample from to use in the game. Check it out at 1:50. Interesting!

I think I'll put this on CD and play it whenever I play my Twin Eagle pcb!

Thanks! Neat to hear the full song after some twenty years!
This "arrange" version sure misses the punch that the original had, though.
And jethro's right, it does sound a lot more like "gonna break it (or you?) down."

The main theme is also cool. Moody with great, eerie guitar effects.

You need to real PCB to enjoy all this.
MAME version doesn't sync right.
Wishing I still had my boardset, now! Damn.

It actually pleases me to see this discussed so much. It's true that MAME cuts the loops a little short, pcb version loops cleanly though. I personally like the main loop "Eagle Spirit" more than the "gonna break you down" song "Early Warning". These songs can be found on Seta arcade collection discs that are mad expensive.

Seta put some effort into the music tracks.
Cal.50, U.S.Classic... some great stuff!

Wow, thanks! Nice to have. Grabbed some other stuff too. :)
I'd sit down and fix the rock song but the samples are all cut short,
so editing won't help.

Like a bad haircut, can't put the hair back, can only make it even shorter!

Wow!!! I loved this game in the arcades, very neat to have the full song that was the basis of the samples in the game. I just bought my own Twin Eagle PCB, so this will go along with it perfectly. Anyone convert the video into an mp3 yet?
