Someone has a twin cobra for a decent price in my area. I cant recall playing this on my mame at home. Does this game compare to 1943, sky shark, tiger heli, or is it better? Your opinions would be great.

I still have the PCB around somewhere, if I recall it wasn't anything special but a relatively fun game, it all depends on one's tastes. I'd say it was about on a par with Tiger Heli, 1943 was perhaps a little better, I don't know about Sky Shark.

i liked it better than sky shark, 1943 and such.
one of my all-time favorite vertical shooters.
it never gets too "mean" - it stays fun all the way through.

I'm not sure how it compares to other shooters but I used to play Twin Cobra on my MAME cab that I used to own. It was quite fun to play IMO...just like a lot of other vertical shooters out there.

Twin Cobra is my favorite vertical shooter (shmup) ever. I played it when I was a kid and it was the first cabinet I ever got.

-Fun to play
-Gets tough but always playable
-Not like the bullet hell type shmups but still carries fun difficulty
-Full powered blue shot OWNZ!

Twin Cobra is one of the best shooters out there, way better then 1943. But man if you never played it before why bother buying it now? You not going to enjoy it like us that loved it back in the day.

Agreed! (high-five time?)

Takes a while to build power ups,
but the reward is worth the damn work!

Great explosions, nice soundtrack package.
Romstar at their finest. The kit was $1100 when new,
not a bad price for a game that earned consistently
for many years.
