Besides the fact that one involves a biplane and one involves a helicopter, what's the difference?

Both by Toaplan, published by Taito in Japan and Romstar in USA
Both vertical shooters
Both released in 1987

I'm going to play these on MAME soon, but I'm curious if anyone knows off-hand. Oddly enough, both are also for sale in my area...

Sky Shark came out first and it's a little more straightforward. Only shot upgrades will power up your shot to be wider.

Twin Cobra is a heli and you can change shot type from straight, spread, trail, etc. Both are awesome games. You can't go wrong with either, really.

Wasn't Tokio in 87...? Also a plane Vert. game by Romstar....
Been looking for that board myself.

Twin Cobra is 2 player simultaneous. I don't know about Sky Shark. I think both pcbs are the same and the roms can be swapped to convert one to the other , as well.
