When I start a game the test mode comes on. It reads check switch 55 gumball geneva. Has anyone ever had this problem. Or know how to fix. Gumball seems to work good. Thanks

The Gumball geneva is the little yellow turn thing on the gumball machine. That is its own switch.

Question is why is that switch out? The game diagnostics gives an error when a switch hasnt been used in (34? not sure) number of games.

Do this first - open coin door, power game on, go into test mode, go to Gumball test, see if the Gumball machine is correctly loading up / if that yellow switch on the gumball machine is turning or if it doesnt. If not, that switch is faulty - not connceted? Broken wire? Bad switch?

Let us know.

Loading and unloading in test mode or start up works fine. Im waiting on a opto to fix the right magnet(swithch 81) , which controls the loading of gum ball. So till the opto comes the ball just goes around spiral, and gives the load gumball bonus. So Im guessing by what you wrote. As soon as I replace the opto for magnet and the ball goes into gumball, Then will take care of this problem. Because switch will be used?

Correct. If switch hasnt been used in some time the game thinks its dead (although it might not be).

BUT - if you have the switch running in test, it should clear the error. Try and get that switch to run (i dont think you can just turn it - the machine needs to). Go into test and see if it will do it.

I see you wrote before you had it working in test? Does the yellow dial turn (the yellow gumball face thingy?).

If so, not sure why its not clearing out of memory that it works. Strange.

Everything turns in test mode. It wont load in game mode because right magnet aint reading right now. One i fix the magnet it should load into gumball during game play. So game must be thinking theres a problem because It hasnt loaded a gumball in gameplay for lots of games! only gets them when i manuall load them in test mode.

The Geneva switch is underneath the gumball machine. A micro mini switch with a wiper that rides along the red plastic dish under there. You can see it in the parts diagram in your game's manaul.

Either the switch isn't working, or the red plastic isn't turning so the switch opens and closes.

LTG :)

If the actual switch or the arm on it that triggers it needs replacing, then yes I believe you'll need to remove the whole gumball machine to do so.

A couple connectors, a few screws, and some plastics around it. Looks way worse than it is.

LTG :)
