Does anyone have a TV on top of one of their games ? Does your neck go out from watching it up there ? For some reason I've always wanted to put a TV up there that plays 80's stuff .

I was thinking about putting TVs on top of my two black and white games that just show what is on their screen, just because that is easy to do.

I think the tape loop of 80s stuff might get super old really quick.

Yeah tape loop would get old . I was thinking 80's movies .

ive got a 32 in flat screen on top of the edot.....

it works great to have it on in the background for arcade partys. throw in fast times, tron, or ferris bueller with some sweet 80's music in the background and you are set to go!

TVs on top

I remember a dragons lair inside of showbiz pizza around 1983 that had a tv on top of the cabinet. It was showing simultaneously (dual output) what was on the cabinet monitor. I also have a flyer showing this in my collection

Super duper bad idea in my view, the local arcade I play at has an LCD mounted above their asteroids and I can't focus for crap on my gameplay anytime I am there, especially when football is on. If you have the room put a TV at the drink or bar area type of thing, or somewhere other than right above gameplaying area.

I remember somewhat recently reading about someone on here doing a TV on top of their MK cabinet that was fed a split connection to show what was going on, on screen.

Yea, I have a little TV on top of my Zaxxon. No neck cramps, but it sits in the far corner of the game room. Usually just gets used while working on games or doing other stuff out there, not playing games.

Thats crazy !

You should take some pics with them on . What did you use to connect 10 TV's to one source ?

You play playstation on one of those too ?

I don't have a TV above any of my games. Thou I don't have many cabs in one place to justify one yet either.

When I finally get to build the Mame setup I have a capture card that I'll be installing into the PC. Once it's all setup I should be able to watch/record TV in that particular cab.

There we go. I knew it was an MK, but it was a monitor. Haha. Thanks I couldn't find that thread for the life of me.

I bought a cheap flat panel at BJs and hung it on the wall in the arcade. It's the single greatest thing I ever installed in the basement. My wife watches TV while playing Megatouch. She loves it. It's a total win-win. It totally gets her in the basement!

yep, playstation shows on all of them.. i had to use a signal amp(very cheap) one box, signal goes in and is split and amplified. the small screens you see are from dual dvd players.i just bought several extra screens and used them.i use a zennith surround sound dvd player for the audio.yes, i have surround sound in the arcade.lol.. i plan to add a couple more screens this year. from computer: out to vcr( this gives me two aux channels) :from dvd player to vcr. from vcr to signal amp: the two aux channels are for: one for the dvd and one for the playstation.(line1,line 2).you must have the signal amp for this to work. so i end up with , vcr, dvd player, playstaion and computer all hooked in with no cables to change to use any one of them. i used so many screens so no matter which way you look , you see it.
