I picked up a cheap $5 tv the other day, hoping to find a usable donor tube inside.

It's a hitachi CT1981. When I opened it up, the neckboad connector looks different from the tubes I've seen so far. It has 11 pins, and a key pin. Anyone know if this might be usable at all? It doesn't look compatible with any of the monitors I have, but I figured I should check before I send it off to the recycling heap!

That's a CR25 tube.....not the most commonly used in arcade games. Some Toei monitors used that size (sometimes found in Universal games).....and Nanao used that size (found in some early Sega games). There could be others. I have no idea about the yokes on these manufacturer's monitors.

OK, doesn't look like it will work with any of mine. Win some, ya lose some...

Thanks for the help Edward!

Necro bump. Just picked up a late 80s Sears TV and it has a 510RSB22 tube. I had a feeling that being a Sears tube from that era had 12 pins, I just couldn't remember the socket type and tube degree. Damn you 100 degree tubes....why do you elude me so! Search for the Zenith unicorn continues.....
