Thanks again to Herbertsmart for finding and parting with this super nice Tut. This is a sweet game with very interesting cabinet with cool wrap around marquee. This machine is in very nice condition, nearly complete sword sideart on one side. CPO is nice and screen is beautifully vibrant.

I haven't played this game in a dedicated cab since the early 80's and still love it. I was never good at it, but could still easily get to the 3rd set of screens tonight. The machine does have a very loud buzz/hum but - anyone know what might be causing that? It still plays the background tune and has sound affects, but it's accompanied by a loud hum.

Either way, very happy picking this up and it looks cool in the Arcade. It joins my new Food Fight as two pickups the past two weeks.

Have a looksy:

One of my favorite games, ever.

Nice get.

Do.Not.Sell.

A very underrated game.

Feel free to post your purchase price. I always wonder what these go for. I got mine for $250 on a buy it now on eBay and it was local - turned out to be in ultra-cherry condition. I was very happy. A few of my local collector friends didn't pull the trigger and have expressed on numerous occasions that refraining was a big regret.

A nicely priced $250 also :) This game is a keeper for sure. Now I just have to stop looking around for games cuz there is just no more room. Must stop looking. Must stop looking.

the hum could be from ac voltage creeping in to the dc voltages.

Check the edge connectors and clean the pcb edge traces, and clean the contacts in the

connector.

perhaps recapp the power supply, possible the caps in the audio portion of the pcb may

need replaced.

check / replace any volume potentiometers.

sometimes the ballast in the marquee can also create interference if it is going bad.

Cool. Thanks, I should know all this by now :)

I paid $75 for mine non-working. I bought a replacement PCB for $35 shipped and a new CP for $40 shipped and now I have a very nice Tut. It even has a very new-looking, burn-free kortek monitor in it:

If that cp is completely flat you should get it REpo'd Theres alot of us TUT used with Warped cp that would buy one!

I don't know if it's because of the sword sideart or what, but I've come across 3 or 4 of these cabs locally over the years, and every one of them had been converted to Rastan.

I wonder how that worked out considering Rastan is a horizontal game and Tut is vertical with no room (or a hair of space) to flip the monitor

Couldn't tell ya.

Perhaps I've confused it with some other red cab that has sword sideart. *shrugs*

Anyone else have this little screwup on their control panels (see attached). My NOS CP has the correct compass orientation. Took me a few years to even notice it :)

First they didn't make the marquee big enough to accomodate the actual name of the game and then this booboo. Bad day for QC at Stern.

Great game, and great machine! If I had room, I would get one.

If you can find one, get yourself the handheld version to go with it. I posted the below picture in the "Coleco" topic, but it's a Bandai game with a Konami license. Extremely faithful to the arcade. (It's the orange one.)

Are those your handhelds? Great collection. I would love the Mr. Do and Tut. As far as my Tut, it may be getting passed on as I have a line on a minty Burgertime that may fill its place. If only I had a larger arcade I could keep more of them :(
