I just got my BZ controller bezel rings and other parts. Great packing, etc.. The controller bezels, to me, are how a repro part should be done. Original part plastic, new part metal, pretty much looks the same, but nice finish, strong, can take a screw better - perfect.

Thanks Dave..

Amen, Darin. You are always 100% fast and reliable with orders.

There are a handful of other art / parts makers on here that can be flaky, but always end up coming though with an excellent product after the wait. But, this stuff is crazy.....

I am REALLY glad that I didn't send money in for one of Dave's Missile Command panels. at the last minute, I read some old posts about issues with receiving product, and held off.

No offense but this is my hobby too, not my full time gig thankfully. There has never seen a single post about me not shipping a product or providing a fake tracking number. I answer emails and phone calls quickly. I ship orders every day of the week and sometimes on Saturdays if someone absolutely needs it. Heck we got 6" of snow overnight and Im heading down to USPS (today is Sat) to ship a LL cpo overnight to someone who has to have it Monday.

When you see all these people saying they have spent $500-$1000+ with Ram Controls then it's time to take things far more serious than $10 orders. He is bringing in pretty good revenue and needs to hire someone to help out or get his arse in gear and treat people with respect and honesty. Until then I wouldnt give him a dime. I would order his parts from Stephen Beal who is everything Dave should aspire to be about this hobby.

I do want him to succeed because it helps me and others trying to sell parts. He has some items I need and his products are great. I just cannot believe after all these posts there is still a Kool-Aid Klub of blind followers. These defenders divide this group and prolong any possible change in Daves behaviors. If people keep making excuses for him over and over then he will repeat his misdeeds. Those same people (some that have also been screwed by him) will now take shots at me for telling it like it is and try some misdirection. Have at it.

I've read these posts with definite interest as I have, and plan to in the future, buy from Ram Controls.

The quality of his stuff is unquestionably superior. I put his work right up there with Darin's, prok's, and ThisOldGame. Unfortunately, his customer service is on the opposite end of the scale. I personally doubt he is a thief or scam artist. He has too much money in the production of parts that have been delivered for that to make sense. I just think he's disorganized and has a far different perspective on what is important that most of his buyers.

I plan to take him up on the terms that he posted...if you have bought from him in the past, you can order and not send payment until the shipment is actually received. It insulates me from any shipping delays, etc. and I'm not out anything until I have parts in hand. I can simply PayPal him right after I get my stuff.

I hope he is able to get this stuff straightened out because he does a quality job and there is a market for his stuff. It is good to note that folks are posting that they are receiving their orders as we speak.

I am pretty sure he stopped that. He said he had too many orders not paid for. Not sure how he knows they aren't paid for though, it hasn't been nearly long enough for the buyers to pay...at least if they use Dave's time scale.

I think the deal was, or at least what I think is proper, is to send payment immediately after receiving the product. I see the obvious joke someone might make about paying promptly vs his shipping delays, but..by taking up on his offer, that's the way it should work. I'd rather buy with definite 'ships in X days', even if told to wait a few weeks. I think we'd rather just hear it up front. I bought some stuff on the order, receive, then pay thing.. I got the stuff and paid that day. I kinda wish he'd out anyone that just never (refused to) paid, as it would be good to know.

The cheap shot just kinda snuck in there. I intended to just post that I had read that the pay after you receive deal was gone. I agree that people should pay when promised.

Just got my Major havoc roller controller
Thank you dave and Ram controls

now if only my replacement starwars controler would show up
to replace the one you needed to compare your new ones to... ;)

Hmmm, maybe my MH roller will show up this week.

Even more sad is that I paid for mine before he started the Turkey Day Special.

So you would think that would ship before the T Day specials would.

Has anyone seen Dave around?? I have not seen him on the forum for awhile???

He hasn't logged-on to the Forum since Dec14th,
and not answered the e-mails I have sent him since that date.

I suspect he is "away" for a bit (he's got more than RAM Controls on the go ..),
and he'll come back to 12,000 e-mails and PMs to sort through.

(...although people seem to be getting stuff,
so maybe he's only doing shipments and not looking at his e-mail,
... because he'd get nothing done while he answers them... )

I expect he'll be back on-line at some point .

Steph

Dave only posts when wants to sell something. I wouldn't be surprised if he's been told to give it a rest until he clears up the tens of thousands of bux worth of back orders.

Even if he did start posting, he'll get jumped on by a lot of people over the control panel fiasco. So I guess he actually needs to get the CPs made first.

FWIW, I reckon he didn't have enough people pay up front for the manufacture of the CPs, so, in time honored Dave fashion, he pulled his usual stunt of offering some crazy deal to raise the funds he needs (this time round he did the Turkey sale).

He's got to be on a final warning by now. Another stunt like this and I think he needs to be shown the door.
