Good evening, Gents!

Tomorrow morning, I'm picking up an outrun that has some very "unique" looking side and front artwork. The front says Sega, and the sides are blue with Sega on the sides. I was wondering if you guys think this is custom or legit, because I'm stumped!

Also, any recommendations for a rebuilt parts supplier? Looking to change the gears, springs, etc.

Thanks!

Looks snazzy!

The vertical Sega logo on the side is consistent with some other Sega cabs released around the same time as the original Outrun, like Wonderboy and Choplifter.

My guess is this is a test model Outrun created before the classic Outrun side art was finalized, which was later converted to Turbo Outrun.

See if it has a very low production number.

It's certainly interesting to be sure.

hey, sorry for the late update!

I have a feeling this sideart was modified by the operator. It's actually black underneath, and looks as if he took time to just change the one side. Kinda weird, but hey, whatever floats your boat! The interior is consistent with other outrun cabinets.

This machine is kinda beat up, but I'm planning to give it a nice little restoration this spring :)
