I'm starting to do some restoration of a Turbo mini. I have a spare plastic CP overlay that is in better shape than what's on there. I've started to get the small carriage bolts out, as well as the gauges on each side of the steering wheel.

My question is: how do I get the shifter knob off, as well as the steering wheel? Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, the large bolt attached to the steering wheel is what holds the wheel in place. Is this correct?
My Turbo mini I owned 14 years ago didn't have the shifter knob, so I had to hunt one down. I did in a matter of weeks, but I have no idea how I got it on. Can someone tell me how to remove the shifter knob so I may install a presentable control panel overlay?
