Picked these up today off of CL. He only had one game listed, but was wanting to sell both. The one that was for sale was listed for $1000, but I got a much better deal on it.

Here's the first shot, more to come late. Any guesses to what they are before the side view of them?

The Sinistar is in great shape except for battery damage on the main board. It looks like the damage is limited to one corner of the board, so maybe it can be salvaged.

But the poor Centipede didn't do so well in non-climate controlled storage for 25 years. I don't thing it actually got wet, just soaked up 80%-90% humidity for all of those years.

All of the wood is so soft that I can push a hole through it with my fingers.

But the good thing is that the parts were in great shape and the game actually powers up into the attract mode.

Not bad.... Sini is a great game with a f'n awesome music at the beginning.

What other games does this guy have?

Not sure, they were his grandfathers. And I think the granddad gets weird about folks seeing his stuff, so the guy is supposed to get a list and pictures. I'm going to tell him which ones are worth fooling with and help him with some repairs.

I also think granddad is a little senile. The guy says he gives him the games on some occasions and then the next time he's out at his house that he accuses him of stealing them. I don't want the old guy to shoot me, so I'm going to wait for pics and an email from the grandson.

The tax stickers on both of these are '85 and as clean as both CP's are I wouldn't doubt they've been in storage that long.

Here's a pic of the Sinistar CP after one pass with a magic eraser. The Centipede looks like it is in just as good shape, so I think I'm going to clean it up and put it on my machine.

RIP Centipede #2216. This thing is going to be an organ donor, so a cocktail cabinet is going to live to see another day with the board from it. The monitor is going to a Stargate which is currently without a monitor.

Found this on the back side of the bottom plate where the power switch is located. It says "sample" and has a date on it.

Sini = SCORE!!! That control panel is gorgeous.

Do me a favor, punch through one of the sides of Centipede and post a picture. Even more impressive if you can punch through with just one finger. If so, that's some serious water/moisture exposure.

Probably didn't take much for Centi to collapse.

It's already in the truck and is now mostly sawdust.

When I went by the guy's house the first time on Saturday, he didn't have the keys. So I figured out how soft it was and then poked a finger through each side of the lock and just pulled it out.

Both the main board and power block had pulled loose. I don't see how they didn't end up bouncing all over each other and destroying the board.

I also don't have any idea how it made it through the loading and unloading process. I was expecting it to collapse any time it was moved.

too bad that 'pede cab was basically destroyed, but it's good to see another one will live with the parts! and nice sinistar, the art looks real clean on it.
