They make a special bit for tubular locks as well that fits over the "ring" but they are expensive. Get a good carbide bit. Start small and then move up in size. Some of those tubular locks are a real pain.
Not sure that wasn't fake, though... He cuts the video stream after not getting it, then after it restarts, he keeps the thumb and first finger on the hand holding the lock on the U-part, keeping it closed. He could have unlocked it between takes.
you can pick tubular locks with Bic or similar plastic pen bodies. it was a big deal a few years ago when this suddenly became common knowledge and a lot of those expensive bike locks were rendered useless.
you won't find a tubular bike lock (or pretty much any lock) anymore. hit the stores and see: they're all combination and standard keys now.
