Tube Swap Wells Gardner 19K4906 - Sanyo replacement tube

I recently required a cocktail cabinet that has a Wells Gardner 19K4906 monitor in it with bad screen burn in. I would like to do a tube swap and saw that some Sanyo TV's have compatible tubes. I recently found a Sanyo 19" DS19390 locally and was hoping someone could confirm that it has the right tube. According to this post

http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=235352

it has a A48KRD82X tube in it. I don't have a lot of knowledge when it comes to swapping. I have looked at a couple of web pages and it looks like it has a CR23 connection. I am hoping that someone with more knowledge can confirm this?

Thanks

probably will work fine. You might as well go for it. I have done 5 or so 4900 tube swaps. I have noticed that even if you swap the yoke the new tube may effect the width or height with the width cap value and you may have to adjust rings and yoke for a 100% converged picture.

You need to read the thread on replacing tubes in arcade monitors. Especially on yokes. Google search it too as all the info you need is there. 4900 chassis are easy to work on. You probably should do a cap kit on it.

I would recommend doing the cap kit and cleaning the chassis first to make sure no further problems come up when you do it. That way you know the tube swap did not cause the issue.
