Over the holiday I bought a WG7901 from Craigslist while visiting my family. My dad also gave me an old 19 inch Magnavox tv. The tube in the WG has burn in from some video slot machine game. It was a a48abk05x.

I pulled the cover off the TV and what do you know it has a a48afn40x. Tubular shows them as compatible! When I get home I measure the yokes and they are pretty close:

Original
2.6 h
13.2 v

Tv
4.8 h
13.5 v

I go for it and leave the tv yoke on. It looks great and I am very pleased with how this turned out.

Then I start fiddling with adjusting horizontal and vertical position and size and turn on the convergence grid on the ArcadeSD board I have in this machine.

What are the squiggly lines in the test pattern? They don't show up at all that I can see when a game is active.

I already have a cap kit and flyback ordered. Is this just caps or a sign that the yoke isn't quite as compatible as it seemed?

Turn your brightness down and your color drives seem a bit high especially blue. If all else fails swap the yoke.

The yoke readings are okay. Your picture of the Ms Pacman screen looks good. I wouldn't change the yoke. It can be a pain to get everything lined back up.

A cap kit is a good idea if the ones in there are either originals or old.

Yeah I didn't want to have to do the convergence setup again I had done it a couple of times before with two different g07 chassis. I will go ahead and do the cap kit when it arrives.

The good news is behrmr was spot on. I turned each of the color drivers down and the squiggles on the test pattern went away.

Thanks behrmr!
