I picked up 3 TVs for potential tube swaps, but I'm not sure I can (or should) use any of them. The first two are 8 pin tubes, and I don't think I have any monitors with 8 pins. If anyone in the Philly area can use them, you can have them.

The third one is a little tricky. It has 9 pins, but it looked right, so I looked it up in the B&K cross-ref list and it does use a CR-23 socket. It is missing one of the pins closest to the key pin, and I read somewhere that it is unused anyway. The tube has "20V90" in raised letters, I believe indicating that it is a 20" tube with 90° deflection.

Would you say that this tube *should* work in a WG 4900 monitor? My only concern right now is whether it will fit in the frame, but after measuring, it looks like it will fit.

Can you see anything that would keep this tube from working? I just don't want to waste my time tomorrow trying it out.

It has been brought to my attention lately that some 20" tubes have a neck that will not allow for proper seating of a yoke designed for 19" tubes. This may pose a problem if you plan to swap yokes...

90° sounds right, but not sure if the "20" actually means 20".
Is there a label somewhere on the tube? Like with an A48xxxxx, M48xxxxx type number.

the 9 pin can be used for a g07 if i recall correctly, i posted a while back about why mine only has 9 pins when others have 10

just found my old thread, i do have 9 pins on my g07

I am going to try the 9 pin tube in a 4900. I believe the G07 uses the same tube.
